System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit). The app is optimized for Windows and uses native calls (e.g. scaling for HighDPI / 4K displays).
  • Processor (CPU): Any modern dual-core processor (Intel Core i3 / AMD Ryzen 3 or higher).
  • Memory (RAM): 2 GB minimum (4 GB recommended to ensure maximum smoothness of the animated "Pure Glass" PyQt6 GUI).
  • Disk Space: About 200 MB for the installation and temporary/log files.
  • Network: Local network connection (Wi-Fi or LAN) required to communicate with the printer over SSH.
  • Compatible Models: Printers in the Creality ecosystem (K1 family, K1 Max, K1C, K2 Series and HI Series)
  • System Privileges: Root access (SSH) enabled on the printer is required to allow the application to inject and overwrite material_database.json, bypassing the cloud.

Creality CFS Forge What is Creality CFS Forge? It is a professional desktop application that gives you back full control over filament management for the Creality 3D printer ecosystem (K1, K2, K1 Max, K1C and HI Series). By working around the limitations of the official cloud, it lets you manage materials locally in a fast, precise and fully automated way. What it does and how it works: Database Bypass (SSH): It connects discreetly to the printer's operating system, pulls the internal material_database.json file and lets you edit advanced parameters that are hidden by default. Once done, it applies the changes by automatically restarting the services so that the new profiles are immediately operational. HueForge Integration and TD Calibration: It calculates the Transmission Distance (TD) of filaments using advanced mathematical curves. The optical data is saved natively in the printer's database, guaranteeing absolute compatibility with HueForge for perfect multicolor prints. RFID Automation: Manual loading is a thing of the past. When you bring the spool's NFC/RFID tag close, the software recognizes the material and instantly loads the correct parameter set onto the printer. Supported Hardware: The application adapts to your workflow by supporting two modes: Plug & Play (Standard): You can use a regular USB Smart Card reader (such as the ACR122U) connected to the PC, handled natively by the software with no soldering at all. Custom Module (Advanced): Full support for external microcontrollers (ESP32-S3) fitted with an isolated RFID module and dedicated optical sensors (color and brightness), for those looking for industrial-grade automation. Interface and Requirements: The working environment is built on PyQt6 with a responsive, dark and elegant Pure Glass design, natively scaled for 4K monitors. Communication is secure and backed by enterprise-grade Python libraries (paramiko, pyscard, local encryption).
